Hiking and Biking
At Tockus Camp & Self-Catering, we offer hiking and biking trails that provide a perfect opportunity to experience the beauty of the countryside and the area’s local wildlife.
Our beautiful surroundings are full of lush farmland and stunning scenery. You can explore the trails at your own pace or bring your bike to cover more ground. Maps are available at reception to help you navigate the area and find the perfect route.
Kayaking and Swimming
The dam close to the campsite and self-catering unit offers a great canoeing service for the whole family! Kids can have lots of fun paddling around the dam and swimming during hot summer days. Bring your own canoe or inflatable boat and enjoy the breathtaking scenery on offer - especially after a good rainy season, the dam has water throughout the year.
Bird watching
​This area is home to a vast variety of species, making it the perfect spot for bird enthusiasts to observe and appreciate the beauty of our feathered friends. Our grounds are inhabited by a variety of African birds, from colorful bee-eaters, finches, majestic eagles to pelicans and flamingos in the rainy season, and of course our favorite…the hornbill so called Toko. The dam close to the accommodations offers the perfect spot for bird watching, so grab your binoculars and come explore with us!
Mountain Climbing
We are just a 40 minute drive away from the Waterberg Plateau Park, making it the perfect day trip for any mountain climber. Climb up the Waterberg mountain and admire the stunning scenery you'll find from on top.
